Happy Birthday to Dahlov Ipcar
Today would have been Dahlov’s 102 birthday! Seeing as she was so mentally aware up until her last day, we honestly thought she might have lived to see it.
Take a look at her birth announcement, made by her parents William and Marguerite Zorach – both well known artists in their own right.
You can find artwork by the Zorachs in the Smithsonian, the Museum of Fine Arts - Boston, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art, and many more. William Zorach even has a statute in Radio City Music Hall on the lower level.
